How much does a locksmith cost in Northern Ireland?
Across Northern Ireland an emergency locksmith callout generally costs between £70 and £150, with night, weekend and Bank Holiday rates at the higher end. A straightforward house lockout during the day sits at the lower end; a failed uPVC multi-point gearbox or an all-keys-lost car key costs more because parts and programming are involved.
Our emergency lockouts are £90 from 8am to 8pm and £120 overnight, at weekends and on Bank Holidays. A lock change with a quality anti-snap cylinder is £75, insurance-approved mortice locks and night latches are £150 fitted, uPVC mechanism repairs are £150, spare house keys are £15 each and a spare car key cut and coded on your driveway is £150.
Be wary of national call-centre locksmiths advertising a £39 or £49 callout — that figure is often just the travel charge, with labour, parts and VAT added at the door. Because we are one local independent locksmith in Fermanagh, the price you are told on the phone is the total you pay.
How we quote
When you call we ask what type of door or vehicle you have, what has happened and where you are. That is normally enough to give you a firm price or a tight range before we travel.
If parts are needed we tell you the cost before fitting anything, and we always offer the option of a like-for-like repair as well as an upgrade. Payment is by card, bank transfer or cash on completion, and every job gets a receipt.
