Common questions
Locksmith questions, answered
Everything customers across Fermanagh ask us most often. If your question isn't here, just ring — we're happy to talk it through before you book anything.
- How quickly can you reach me in Fermanagh?
- Most callouts around Enniskillen, Lisnaskea and Irvinestown are reached in 30–45 minutes. Outlying villages can take a little longer — we give you a realistic time on the call.
- How much does a locksmith cost in Fermanagh?
- Lockouts start from £90 during the day and from £120 at night, weekends and Bank Holidays. Every job is quoted before we set off, so the price you are told is the price you pay.
- Will you damage my door or lock?
- We always try non-destructive entry first, so the vast majority of doors are opened with no damage and your existing lock still works afterwards.
- Do you cover nights, weekends and Bank Holidays?
- Yes — a real locksmith answers the phone 24/7, including nights, weekends and Bank Holidays. Night and weekend lockouts start from £120.
- Can you replace a lost car key?
- Yes, we cut and program replacement keys roadside for most makes and models. Tell us the car, year and what happened and we'll quote on the call.
- Do you work for landlords and businesses?
- We handle tenant changeovers, master-keyed suites, shopfronts and office access control across Fermanagh and nearby areas of Northern Ireland.
- Do you fit insurance-approved locks?
- Yes. We fit British Standard BS3621 mortice locks and TS007-rated anti-snap cylinders that meet the requirements most UK home insurers set out in their policy wording.
- Do I need to prove I live at the property?
- We'll ask for basic ID such as a driving licence, utility bill or tenancy agreement before opening a property. It protects you as much as it protects us.
- Which payment methods do you accept?
- Card and bank transfer on completion, plus cash if you prefer. A receipt is issued for every job, which is handy for insurance or landlord records.
- How much does an emergency locksmith cost in Northern Ireland?
- An emergency locksmith callout in Northern Ireland typically costs between £70 and £150 depending on the time of day and the type of lock. Our own emergency lockout prices start from £90 between 8am and 8pm and from £120 at night, weekends and Bank Holidays, quoted in full before we travel.
- How long does an emergency locksmith take to arrive?
- Around Enniskillen we are usually with you in 20 to 30 minutes, and 30 to 45 minutes across the rest of Fermanagh. Most non-destructive lockouts are then opened within a few minutes of us arriving.
- Is there a 24 hour locksmith near me in Fermanagh?
- Yes — we are a genuine 24 hour mobile locksmith based locally, covering Enniskillen, Lisnaskea, Irvinestown, Kesh, Derrylin, Belcoo, Newtownbutler, Lisbellaw, Fivemiletown and out to Omagh and Dungannon. Ring 07756 560292 any hour and a locksmith answers.
- How much does it cost to change a lock?
- A standard lock change or euro cylinder upgrade starts from £75 including a quality anti-snap cylinder. Insurance-approved BS3621 mortice locks and night latches supplied and fitted start from £150.
- Can a locksmith open a uPVC door without breaking it?
- Usually yes. If the mechanism is still working we pick or bypass the cylinder and your door and lock keep working afterwards. If the multi-point gearbox itself has failed, the mechanism has to be replaced — repairs start from £150 and we carry the common gearboxes on the van.
- How much is a replacement car key in Northern Ireland?
- A spare car key cut and programmed on your driveway starts from £150. If all keys are lost, a fresh key coded to the vehicle starts from £250 depending on make, model and year — far less than main-dealer recovery and supply.
- What should I do if I am locked out of my house?
- Check every other door and window first, then ring us rather than forcing anything — a forced door usually costs far more than the callout. Have some ID ready, stay somewhere safe and warm, and we'll give you an arrival time and a fixed price on the call.
